MASTER OF SCIENCE IN FORENSIC TECHNOLOGY

PROGRAM DETAILS

Our program is the first of its kind in graduate-level forensic science programs. Gain hands-on experience while learning from industry experts who are still actively involved in the field of forensic scene investigations.

By enrolling in our Forensic Tech program, you can:

  • Complete your degree in two years as a full-time student
  • Work while you study with evening classes
  • Gain unique knowledge in the areas of forensic photography, bloodstain pattern analysis, traffic crash reconstruction, and others, while using new field technologies

Embark on a New Career Using Forensic Science

Learn how to evaluate a crime scene using various technologies to ultimately help solve crimes. The University of New Haven’s Master of Science in Forensic Technology prepares graduates to work as civilian forensic scene examiners, forensic photographers, and medicolegal death investigators. Law enforcement personnel also benefit from this program, and many of our graduates go on to work with local, state, and federal agencies.

Students in the program can create strong connections with local and state agencies, like the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington, CT, and the Hartford and New Haven police departments as part of their Capstone requirement.  A 200-hour internship helps students gain the practical skills needed to succeed in the field after graduation.

“The faculty in this program are all extremely experienced, having either advanced degrees in their subject matter or having worked in the field. This is a hands-on program that truly prepares you for an outside career in the forensics field.”
