MASTER OF SCIENCE IN FORENSIC TECHNOLOGY

Our program is the first of its kind in graduate-level forensic science programs. Gain hands-on experience while learning from industry experts who are still actively involved in the field of crime scene investigations.
By enrolling in our Forensic Tech program, you can:
- Finish the degree in as little as one and a half years

- Gain unique knowledge in bloodstain pattern analysis, firearms evidence,
and forensic anthropology with specialized electives
Maria Torre, M.S.
Maria Torre uses her educational, training, and professional background in forensic science to teach a variety of courses at the university. She has experience working both in the field and in a traditional laboratory setting.
Most recently, Maria worked in the Forensic Unit in the Waterbury Police Department in Waterbury, CT as a Crime Scene Technician. She was responsible for the examination of a range of scenes, including death investigations, sexual assaults, firearms related incidents, burglaries, and many more. Maria also participated in several cold case investigations by assisting with evidence collection, re-examination and documentation of previous scene locations, and reconstruction.

Learn how to evaluate a crime scene with various technologies to ultimately help solve crimes. The University of New Haven’s Master of Science in Forensic Technology prepares graduates to work in a variety of fields, like government and community services, as specialists in forensic technology.
Create strong connections with state police and the state medical examiner before graduation with a capstone project. You will gain the practical skills needed to succeed in the field right after graduation.
